The Met Office on Saturday forecast mainly hot and dry weather for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. However, it said, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas. "A shallow westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and is likely to move east wards during next 12-18 hours," it added. Lasbella was the hottest place in the country with a maximum 44 degrees Celsius followed by Jacobabad, Dadu, Mithi, Thatta, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Moenjo Daro, Turbat, Padidan and Sukrand 42, each, over the last 24 hours.
